Bitten by The Blogging Bug

"For people who believe writing is the best form of expression, a digital diary comes as a boon.Maintaining a journal in the form of a book or a diary gets monotonous many a time. Looking at the same cover, the same kind of pages and the same handwriting leaves one craving for something new and different, something that lets people experiment and discover the beauty of maintaining your thoughts on a digital forum."

I've been a part of blogosphere (well that's what the blogging world is called) for a while now. I would say it is the new age mantra. It is quite a hit amongst people of all age groups.Be it celebrities, students, chefs,IT Professionals (people like US) or even housewives, everyone has taken to the keyboard. The concept of having a blog comes as a whiff of fresh air for you and me alike. Like I said before maintaining a manual journal can get you bored. Blogs provide us with so many options ranging from font, themes, layouts, color combinations, images, animations and so on. They are also an excellent mode of communication between like minded people( to agree upon) and people with contradictory views( to debate upon).
People nowadays use blogs for all sorts of discussions ranging from :
•Political outrage
•Celebrity Criticism
•Fashion Ideas
•Humour
•Event Management
•Poetry
•Food
•Travel
•Scientific Advancement
The above mentioned are just a few out of a pool of amazing topics that I have come across. There are a host of other things that are being discussed in Blogosphere by a host of netizens.
While starting a blog one should exactly have in mind what he/she wants to write about. As a starter one should always be open to criticism ,be it good or bad.
According to me blogs shouldn’t be too flashy or over the top, though attractive. They should be designed in such a way that they can attract the right kind of audience for different articles in a blog.
Once someone starts blogging they should make sure that they keep updating their space at regular intervals. This prevents their blog from fading away from public memory.
Social Networking has taken our generation by storm. One must use their social networking sites to promote their blog too.Connect the blog to sites like Facebook,Twitter,Pinterest,LinkedIn etc.
Think out of the box. Don't dabble with the same kind of articles all the time. If you think really hard there will be a million unique ideas to blog about. Make sure you use pictures and videos to enhance the glamour quotient.
Have a meter to register your votes and hits to see the feedback on your blog. That can be a confidence booster.
Follow these steps and hopefully you and me will both have blogs worth reading!

Soya Chunks Broccoli Curry | Soya Chunks Curry Recipe | Indian Recipe

Soya Chunks  Broccoli Curry  | Soya Chunks Curry Recipe | Indian Recipe I attribute my varied palate to my Appa and Amma and no one else. Although South-Indian, growing up I was exposed to so many cuisines and I am not talking about, "just in restaurants". I am talking about "in Amma's kitchen". She wasn't just the Idli-Dosa kinda mom. She always ensured that she cooked up a different storm in the kitchen everyday and for that, I cannot be more thankful. Way before this whole "vegan" thing came into existence, she introduced me to Soya Chunks. We did eat non-veg at home but not everyday. That's when the humble Soya Chunks/ Soya Nuggets come to the rescue. The texture and taste (according to me) are nothing when compared to chicken but there is something about these nuggets that strike a chord with my palate.  Soya chunks especially when cooked in a curry form absorb water and spices. You take one bite and you realize ho...

Hummus | Hummus Recipe | Carrot Hummus | Carrot Humus Recipe

Hummus | Carrot Hummus | Carrot Hummus Recipe Anyone who loves Middle Eastern cuisine will and should know about the humble HUMMUS. For us Indians, we'd probably know it as simple Chickpea Paste or Chana Paste. No Big Deal. I did not know they made different flavours of HUMMUS until one day I stumbled upon a picture that had featured CARROT HUMMUS (YUM!). I instantly glued myself to my laptop and ran through many tabs titled   Carrot Hummu s or Carrot Humus Recipe or #carrothummus and I was pleasantly surprised and hungry! Most people online roasted the carrots in an oven. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the same due to lack of an oven in my kitchen.  So here's my version of the delicious and "goes-with-most-breads"  Carrot Hummus | Hummus. Hummus | Hummus Recipe | Carrot Hummus | Carrot Humus Recipe WHAT YOU NEED FOR CARROT HUMMUS  1) One cup of chickpeas (washed, soaked over night and pressure cooked with salt and water) 2) 2-3 carrots (was...
