Cafe Mangii - The 3 Course Meal Delight

I've realized after so much eating out that places that we just stumble upon or randomly walk into are the ones that take us by surprise and satiate our quest for good food. Cafe Mangii at Orion gave my friends and me one such amazing experience. On a rainy Diwali afternoon three of us walked into Cafe Mangii with the hope of grabbing some quick bites and getting on the move.  But instead, we saw a small thing on the table that said 2 course meal for Rs.399/- and three course meal for Rs.499/- and we stuck ourselves there. The ambiance was perfect. It was an open air environment with an amazing view of the Brigade Promenade. It was raining and breezy that afternoon and it was just a pleasure for us to sit there and dine. There was water in the premises because of the rain which needed some cleaning up. The staff was prompt and served the food quite fast. To give our lunch an amazing start we were served with a bread basket. The best part was eating the flu...

Gokarna | Gokarna Travel | Things To Do In Gokarna | Travel Post #4

I've gone to Gokarna three times in a row. 2013, 2014 and 2015 and I know the three times is most definitely going to increase to uncountable number of times. Gokarna is actually a temple town in Karnataka,India. Devout people come there only to visit the Gokarnanatha Temple in the main town and see  (dirty) Gokarna Beach. We chose to go away from the usual track and explore the beaches on the other side of town. The first time around we took a train from Bangalore (Yeshwanthpur Station) and got off at the Gokarna Road railway station. The next time we boarded a bus from Navrang Stop at Rajajinagar and got off at the Gokarna Bus Stop. The third time around we boarded the bus from the same stop as above but got off at Kumta since we decided on having a detour before heading to Gokarn (Goks as we call it). Note : I might have to include some images from the internet as my hard disk has got corrupted and I have lost a significant number of pictures :( THINGS TO DO IN GOKARNA ...

Travel Post #2 : HAMPI : A Time Traveller's Delight

I am not a very ornate writer/blogger. Instead, I choose to put across my points in an eloquent fashion. (atleast I hope so) I hope this post is helpful to fellow travelers who wish to conquer the ruins of Hampi. This particualr post will be rather loooongggg. Please bear with me. Hampi is the seat of the powerful Vijayanagara Empire from the mid-fourteenth century to 1565. It is one of the most magnificent historical sites in India. It is located on the southern banks of the Tungabhadra river in Karnataka. Hampi is the " City of Ruins ". We decided to head to Hampi in the last week of February since we wanted to avoid the intense summer that would start off in the month of March. TRAVEL: We booked our tickets from Bangalore to Hospet and our return tickets via the ABHIBUS  and REDBUS   apps on which we minted huge discounts. The travel time to Hampi is about 8 hours. We reached Hampi at around 8am and headed straight for breakfast. We indulged in good old Sout...
