Dubai-My Take

Well to start with:
My recent trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi  happened to be one of the best vacations of my life. Dubai is so gorgeous and full of life and also I was hosted by my extremely warm and friendly relatives (including uncle,aunt and little cousin and also another cousin and his wife).
We chose the perfect time to head to Dubai the reason being 
i) Amazing weather and and hence lots of tourists and
ii) the DUBAI SHOPPING FESTIVAL 
We left Bengaluru on 30th Dec 2011 by a 7:00 pm flight and landed in Dubai at around 9:30 pm (UAE time). Our entry wasn't smooth since we had to wait in the long queue for the iris scan and later the passport stamping.But I would say it was all worth it.
The airport was full of tired passengers but none of them seemed to reflect that on their faces. After all they were in DUBAI and that too for NEW YEAR'S EVE.
Everyone , I'm assuming was gung-ho about welcoming the year 2012 in the best city of the UAE.
The time I spent there was quite memorable.It takes me by surprise how the people of the Dubai have made the place compatible to almost every person from different nations.
There is so much to see and do in both the Emirates that now when I look back I feel may be I should've stayed a little longer.
Its like one just can't have enough of  Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Soya Chunks  Broccoli Curry  | Soya Chunks Curry Recipe | Indian Recipe I attribute my varied palate to my Appa and Amma and no one else. I've gone to Gokarna three times in a row. 2013, 2014 and 2015 and I know the three times is most definitely going to increase to uncountable number of times. Gokarna is actually a temple town in Karnataka,India. Devout people come there only to visit the Gokarnanatha Temple in the main town and see  (dirty) Gokarna Beach. We chose to go away from the usual track and explore the beaches on the other side of town. The first time around we took a train from Bangalore (Yeshwanthpur Station) and got off at the Gokarna Road railway station. The next time we boarded a bus from Navrang Stop at Rajajinagar and got off at the Gokarna Bus Stop. The third time around we boarded the bus from the same stop as above but got off at Kumta since we decided on having a detour before heading to Gokarn (Goks as we call it).
